There are 2 common charging systems: Alternators and Generators.
Many of our harnesses have options to fit a few types of Alternators: The most common in the USA are the following:
10DN, 10SI and 1 Wire.
Generators a more simplistic, but there are 2 ways to control their output, regulators and cutout relays. There are also different varations of each.
Internal regulator. Accepts two way connector 90 deg to the body. There is also a main power terminal and a ground.
Requires external regulator. Accepts two way connector on the rear. There is also a main power terminal and a ground.
1 Wire 10SI Alternator
Black rubber plug on regulator terminals. There is also a main power terminal and a ground.
4 TERMINAL REGULATOR
FOR MOUNTING AWAY FROM GENERATOR.
3 TERMINAL REGULATOR
FOR MOUNTING ON GENERATOR
Mechanical Cutout Relay
Solid State Cutout Relay
International Harvester Cutout Relay (1939-1953)
